Organized Subcultures
Definition: Subcultures are pockets or segments of culture which (while reflecting the dominant aspects of the main culture) show different customs, norms, and values due to differences in geographical areas or (within an organization) departmental goals and job requirements.

As the above definition explains, subcultures are segments of a culture. Lets look at India for an example. First you have Indians and within that there are Punjabis, Gujaratis and Hyderabadis. Similarly, businesses organize their workers in subcultures. An organizational subculture is the organization of these cultures. However, a business does not organize it's employees based on culture or religion. It organizes its employees based on their skills and the work they major in. An example of this would be the department of defence. The department of defence is an organization that is in charge of all things national security. The subcultures in this organization would be Army, Marines and Navy. Each subculture has different duties but they serve for the same purpose. Subcultures are what makes a business unique. If subcultures didn't exist, every business would be the same. Every employee would be in charge of everything. By having employees in charge of different things, the workload seems to be a lot easier. If subcultures did not exist, people would be required to know everything. With different subcultures, people of all intelligence's would be given a job. The use of subcultures in a business would help the business greatly because people working in a particular department would be amazing at the job they are in charge of doing. If everyone had to do the same thing, the quality of the work done would not be too great.
