Immigration in Canada began in about the mid 1800's. People from all over the world began to settle in Canada in hopes to find jobs and live a happier life. These numbers began to grow and Canada became a multicultural country. Although people of different cultures began to immigrate to Canada, they faces many challenges because they were different from the "homeland Canadians."
